Kathmandu: Nepali PUBG team Horaa ESports has qualified for the PUBG Mobile World Cup Grand Finals, held under the ongoing ESports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. Horaa secured its spot in the finals with a strong performance in the Survival Stage.
The team had finished 13th out of 24 in the group stage, which began on July 25. According to tournament rules, the top eight teams from the group stage advanced directly to the Grand Finals, while teams ranked 9th to 24th were given a second chance through the Survival Stage.
Horaa ESports made an impressive comeback, finishing in the top eight of the Survival Stage to earn its place in the Grand Finals. By coming first in the Survival Stage, the team also won a prize of $25,000 (approximately NPR 3.45 million).
Horaa will now compete against the world’s top 15 teams. The final lineup includes eight teams from the group stage and eight from the Survival Stage.
The PUBG World Cup Grand Finals will take place from August 1 to 3, where the world champion will be crowned.
