Bara’s Mohammad Saf Arrested for Trading Nearly Rs 200 Million in Cryptocurrency at Age 23

Kathmandu: Police have arrested 23-year-old Mohammad Saf on charges of trading cryptocurrency worth more than Rs 198.1 million.
A team from the District Police Range, Kathmandu, detained Saf from Kalaiya in Bara at 6 p.m. on 26 November after receiving information that some individuals were dealing in immaterial currency (cryptocurrency). Saf was currently living in Dallu.
Police recovered two mobile phones of different brands that he used for cryptocurrency trading. According to police, the preliminary investigation shows that more than Rs 198.1 million worth of cryptocurrency had been traded.
Police have obtained a five-day remand from the Kathmandu District Court against Saf for the offense of using cryptocurrency.
