CIB Arrests Suspect in TU MBS First Semester Question Paper Leak

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a teacher on charges of leaking the question paper for the Master of Business Studies (MBS) first semester examination under the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) identified the suspect as 33-year-old Sandip Singh, a permanent resident of Ghodaghodi Municipality–11, Kailali, who is currently residing in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality–1, Bhaktapur.

According to the CIB, Singh is being investigated under the Education Act, 1971, for allegedly breaching the confidentiality of the examination question paper.

The investigation began after the question paper for MGT 515: Organizational Behaviour, one of the MBS first semester examinations that commenced on July 24, was allegedly circulated in a WhatsApp group shortly after the examination started.

Police said Singh was arrested from Madhyapur Thimi on July 26 on suspicion of his involvement in the leak. Further investigation into the case is underway.

As several MBS first semester examinations are still pending, the CIB has urged the public not to engage in question paper leaks or any other unlawful activities. The bureau warned that anyone found involved in such offences will face legal action in accordance with the law.
