Kathmandu: Viewers have been requested to watch the ongoing Nepal Premier League cricket tournament in Kathmandu only through official channels. NPL organizer Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the OTT rights holder Dish Media issued a joint press release with this request.
Dish Media Network Limited holds exclusive worldwide OTT rights for NPL broadcasts, except in India. Viewers can watch NPL matches by paying through DishHome’s app, DishHome Go.
They clarified that broadcasting NPL on YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X, Telegram, or any other websites and apps besides DishHome Go is improper and unauthorized. Unauthorized sale, distribution, rebroadcasting, recording, editing, or any other use of NPL-related materials is illegal and punishable.
CAN and Dish Media jointly requested all viewers, advertisers, media partners, and stakeholders to watch NPL matches only from the designated official platform, DishHome Go. They also warned that watching matches through unauthorized links, sites, or media may expose personal and financial details and increase the risk of cybercrime. Viewers have been urged not to engage in or promote such activities.
They added that if anyone receives information about unauthorized broadcasting of any NPL match, they should inform CAN or DishHome. Those involved in unauthorized activities will face action under prevailing law.
