Ncell Distributing Over 2,000 Educational Materials for Fours Hit in NPL

Kathmandu: Ncell Foundation is set to distribute more than 2,000 educational materials for boundaries hit in the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2. The foundation announced that it will support students of government and community schools by matching every four in cricket with four pieces of educational materials.
A total of 510 boundaries have been hit by 90 players in the matches played till Thursday. As per the foundation’s commitment to distribute four educational materials for every four, 2,040 pieces of educational materials have been ensured so far.
Adam Rossington of Pokhara Avengers has contributed the most by hitting fours. He has hit 27 fours and secured 108 pieces of educational materials.
Darcy Short of Lumbini Lions is in second place with 19 boundaries. His contribution will result in 76 materials. Kathmandu Gorkhaz’s Ben Charlesworth and Sudurpaschim Royals’ Binod Bhandari have each contributed 68 educational materials, hitting 17 fours each.
According to the foundation, the kit distributed to students will include a bag and essential study materials. It will include copybooks, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and other items. This assistance will be distributed in coordination with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), local bodies, and partner organization Karmayog Foundation.
Ncell’s Corporate Communications and Sustainability Director Visakha Laxmi Khadka said she was happy to connect the excitement of the game with social work. She said, “We would like to thank the players who contributed by hitting fours. We are confident that the remaining games will further expand their contribution to education.”
Last year, Ncell distributed more than 9,000 educational materials across the country. That included 653 fours hit in the first season of the NPL.
