Police Arrest Another Sukuna Secondary School Staff Member in Sexual Abuse Case, Total Arrests Rise to Four

Kathmandu. Police have arrested another staff member of Sukuna Secondary School in Sundarharaicha Municipality-10, Morang, as investigations continue into allegations of sexual abuse raised by students and former students. With the latest arrest, the total number of people held in the case has reached four.
The District Police Office, Morang, arrested the school's music teacher, 39-year-old Bhim Prasad Nepal of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-7, Jhapa, on Tuesday. Police said he was taken into custody in connection with sexual abuse allegations and remains under investigation.
Prior to his arrest, Sukuna Secondary School suspended Nepal on Monday after allegations of misconduct against him surfaced.
The case came to light after students and former students began sharing accounts of alleged sexual abuse and misconduct on social media on Sunday. Through a series titled "Hidden Voice" on the Facebook page "S/K/N Confession & Meme," they posted personal testimonies, chat screenshots, and other materials alleging inappropriate behavior by school staff.
Following the posts, police arrested teachers Abiral Maskey and Kishor Lal Gachhadar, along with school bus driver Pradip Bhattarai, on Monday.
With the arrest of Bhim Prasad Nepal on Tuesday, four school staff members are now in police custody as the investigation into the allegations continues.
