Xiaomi Launches 15T Smartphone With Leica Camera in Nepal, Promises Professional-Level Photography

 

Kathmandu: Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has launched its new flagship device, Xiaomi 15T, in the Nepali market. The smartphone features a triple camera system developed in collaboration with Leica, offering users professional-grade photography and powerful performance.

According to Manu Manaswi, Country General Manager of Xiaomi Nepal, the Xiaomi 15T represents a blend of power, intelligence, and innovation. “In partnership with Leica, we’ve delivered a camera system with outstanding image quality. With AI integration and high performance, this smartphone will redefine mobile photography and user experience for Nepali consumers,” he said.

The Xiaomi 15T features three Leica cameras, a 50MP main camera (23mm), a 50MP telephoto lens (46mm) with 2x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens (15mm). The Leica Summilux lens with a large aperture allows users to capture sharp, vivid photos even in low light.

The phone has a slim, premium design with soft edges and a matte finish. It measures just 7.5mm thick and weighs 194 grams, offering a comfortable grip for long use. It is also IP68-certified for dust and water resistance and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra (4nm) chipset, the 15T includes 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15, with an upgrade to HyperOS 3 coming soon.

The device features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For selfies and video calls, it comes with a 32MP front camera.

The 5500mAh battery supports 67W HyperCharge fast charging, and the charger is included in the box. Connectivity features include dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, multi-functional NFC, and 5G support, along with global positioning systems like GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and NavIC.

The Xiaomi 15T (12GB + 512GB) model is priced at Rs 64,999 in Nepal and is available in Black, Gray, and Rose Gold colors at all official Xiaomi stores nationwide.
